The Lemon Law in Florida only applies to vehicles bought or leased in the State of Florida, which are deemed either new or a dealership/automotive company's demonstration vehicle. Of course, it isn't quite as simple as that. There are certain exclusions that we've listed below. The Exclusions to the Lemon Law Are:

  • Vehicles bought for the purpose of resale
  • Off-road vehicles
  • Large Trucks (those that weigh more than 10,000 lbs gross vehicle weight
  • Motorcycles
  • Mopeds & similar type vehicles
  • The "Living Facilities" of R.V.s (recreational vehicles)*
